Because we have been looking at our native's identity this term we decided to base some art around native New Zealand birds. We selected a bird each and then had to find out it's habitat. We painted our birds habitat using water colour paints. We learned about perspective and that things that were closer should appear bigger in our paintings. We then found a photo of our bird and sketched it. We put the habitat and bird together and WAA-LA = Awesome bird art! Here is a sneak peak of some of our finished products below!
