Once a week we have Arrowsmith problem solving interchange. This is where we work in different groups with people from different classes. Each week we have a different teacher. We are learning to work with a 'maths mate' and solve word problems using strategies we are learning in our own class. At the end of the session we share our learning on the whiteboard with the whole class. Here are some of the things we like about Arrowsmith maths:
- Sharing time, because I learn new strategy's - Finn
- Sharing my maths with the other groups because they can learn new strategies from me - Harry
- Seeing how other people solve problems because i could use those strategies for other problems - Ella
- Working with people I don't usually work with because I learn new things that they know and they learn stuff of me - Oli
- We get to see the best strategy for the problem and we get to share our thinking - Jack
