Arrowsmith have enjoyed a great week swimming at the new EA Networks pool. It was so good to see everyone's swimming skills progress and people enjoying their time in the water. While we weren't swimming, there was plenty to watch around the pool complex or children also shared books, brochures, drew pictures and played cards. On Friday, we also checked out the new courts. We will have another swim week later in the year.

Arrowsmith children worked really hard over the last couple of weeks of term 2 to complete a brochure on their choice of native NZ plant or animal. We had to research our topic, write a factual description and then use our knowledge of non fiction text features to present our brochure. We are super proud of how they turned out - Come into our classrooms to read them. Below are some photos of Harakeke sharing their brochures with Manuka.
Miss Taylor found this really cool website that makes really cool comics. Some of us tried it out as part of our reading contracts. Check them out below.
