Arrowsmith have enjoyed a great week swimming at the new EA Networks pool. It was so good to see everyone's swimming skills progress and people enjoying their time in the water. While we weren't swimming, there was plenty to watch around the pool complex or children also shared books, brochures, drew pictures and played cards. On Friday, we also checked out the new courts. We will have another swim week later in the year.

Well done to everyone who competed in the Mid Canterbury cross country today, everyone did their B.E.S.T. What a beautiful day for a run! An extra pat on the back to Harry who came 3rd in the year 6 boys race.
Every Wednesday for the rest of Term 1 Arrowsmith and Taylor will be having cricket coaching with Garfield from Mid Canterbury cricket. We had our first session this week. We learnt to stretch our bodies and shift our weight when running between the wickets and also the correct stance when batting. Check out some photos from the session below.
What a week of sport! Well done to Kasey, Harry, Cole and Cait who participated in the Counties triathlon at Hampstead School yesterday. It was a scorcher of a day so the freezing Hampstead pool was almost bearable for the athletes. Tinwald once again had some fantastic results.
Well done to Logan who competed in the Counties Swimming sports with five other Tinwald kids this afternoon. He even made it to the backstroke final and came second. Awesome Logan!
Well done to Harry and Kasey who played in the Ashburton Trust cricket tournament last week. You played really well as a team and your skills improved throughout the games. Overall, the team came 4th out of 16 teams.
